Since opening its doors in 1997, Brunel Raj has received great publicity and praise from local press, along with a string of different catering awards.

We train all of our staff with the highest level of Food Hygiene and Safety Qualification. There is also a selection of comments from celebrity guests and comments taken from articles.

Brunel Raj received a four star rating from the Bristol City Council food safety team for food hygiene.

I have had many a good meal in the Brunel and Bengal Raj restaurants. Ive found that when going to the same familiar restaurants you order the same meal over and over but at the Brunel Raj every meal is a favourite of mine so that never happens. Id highly recommend it to anyone!

'I think all were impressed with the efficiency with which the restaurant coped with the ad hoc order from such a large party. Many other places have the annoying habit of requiring people to order in advance. They also handled well our rather imprecise information on the number of people that were coming and were on hand to move tables to accommodate the numbers.' Professor Alan Champneys

I ate at the Brunel Raj last night 10/02/09 and all the food was excellent. In particular the Lamb Balti was superb, beautiful sauce and the meat was exceptionally tender. Can't wait to come back and try some more dishes.

Having been a customer for over 12 years, the food and service only gets better. The best curry in the whole of the UK is cooked at Brunel Raj. The staff are wonder and so helpful. Clifton village would not be the same without Brunel Raj

We were fortunate enough to have been accommodate in your restaurant 2 weeks ago. There were 20 of us and it was the night after our wedding. The food was superb thank you so much and we were beautifully looked after by charming staff. Friends of mine were over from Ireland and they had eaten in your restaurant before and said it was the best Indian food they had ever had and I'd have to say I'd second them on that. Ordered a Chicken Madras and Nan Bread and popadom takeaway the only thing that I can say about this food is two words Utter Perfection I have been eating Chicken Madras in Bristol at varied restaurants over 20 years and this is with out doubt one of the best meals I have had. Plenty of sauce perfect spicyness lovely soft chicken which can be eaten just with a spoon it is so soft and has been cooked nice and slowly peshwari nan was light and fluffy and not too sweet I would not hesitate to recommend the food and staff.
